Thehighlightedlogo was strategically designed to keep weight down byremovingunnecessary material from the bottom plate. Keeping theweight ofthe side stand foot down is critical because any addedweight toyour side stand can lead to the side stand dropping duringa ride.If a side stand drops while the bike is in motion， it candeploythe side stand switch guard， cutting the engine withoutwarning andlead to a potential crash.Made from hefty 1／8 inch stainless steel， the side stand footisspecifically designed to fit the unique side stand on thefactorylowered R 1200 GSW. It features a 3D tread that echoestheaggressive AltRider Radiator Guard design， while providingtractionfor your boots. It is the most ergonomic design on themarket，allowing easy deployment of the side stand while still onthe bike.The AltRider foot also clamps down on the actual foot ofthe sidestand with Torx fasteners， which means the piece willremain tighteven after months of use.
